Our love for the original Chem Dog spurred a fascination with cannabis that started in 1991. When we pop seeds from our collection that we have grown and reserved over the years, we are looking for good weed. Those plants were discarded after testing and the original Chem 91 remained our favorite Dog. Coincidentally, this pheno’s identifying number during our in-house testing was ‘Chem 5.’ After a few test rounds and a few high fives, the name Chem 5 stuck as an ode to the past and a look to the future.
